Methylated B vitamins are forms of B vitamins, such as folate and B12, supplied in the active shape the body uses directly, without needing an extra conversion step. Common examples are methylfolate and methylcobalamin.

The methylated label is easy to over-read, since it describes the chemical form rather than a higher dose.
